We're seeing a lot of influence in design from the outdoors. This isn't necessarily a new phenomenon, it's merely making a more profound statement lately. It makes perfect sense. There is so much beauty & inspiration in nature. Clients have asked me to create their home's color palette based on the colors found in the changing of the leaves in the fall. Furniture manufacturers are also taking a cue from nature. Check out these fabulous chairs from Century. They're made out of water hyacinth. These chairs would be phenomenal in a sun room or on a cozy covered patio or porch. We've got them in the store right now shown with a colorful print fabric featuring eggplant, green, gold & terra cotta on the cushions, but they'd also be great in a more neutral or textured fabric. Not only are these swivel chairs fabulous & functional, but they're also incredibly comfy. Perfect for a day of reading and relaxation.
Are you one of those people who like to mix it up? Well, I am. I love to mix & match fabrics, textures & accents. Pieces that showcase some real design elements show that you took your time to plan your room and pull together furniture that is .... SO stylish.
For example, this fantastic sectional. The "L" shaped frame features a rich leather trimmed in nail heads on the back with a neutral fabric with a contrasting leather welt cord on the cushions. You've had your heart set on fabric, but hubby wants leather. Well, you can have your cake & eat it too with this sectional! You both win and so does your family room or den when you place this stylish piece in there!

Want to make your guests ooh and aahhh upon entering your home? Try this ecclectic exotic setting with a playful mix of animal prints, chocolate brown, greens, and black & white in your formal living room. This fun zebra rug with leather banding makes quite a statement. I love the use of the glass cocktail & end tables so you have the function of the tables without covering up the rug. 
The pictures don't do the sofa justice ~ so you're just going to have to come in & see for yourself. The frame is to die for! It's carved with a beautiful design and features a warm gold finish. The single oversized cushion covered in a deep rich chocolate brown invites you to curl up on it with a good book. Look closely at the neutral leather wingback chairs. The leather is incredible and finished off nicely with nailheads. The vertical paintings help tie the look together and add color above the console. Don't forget the accessories. Remember ~ accessories are like jewelry for your home. I'd have to say my favorite is the floral on the coffee table. I love the height and color it brings to the setting.
